CAMPUS SUMMARY
Since 1831 LaGrange College has been challenging students’ minds, inspiring their souls—and changing lives. Today, LaGrange is a four-year liberal arts and sciences institution offering 50 academic and pre-professional programs and graduate degrees in education. Affiliated with the United Methodist Church, LaGrange is ranked by U.S. News & World Report among the South's top comprehensive colleges and among that category's top 10 "best values."

Our campus covers more than 120 acres and features the latest “wired” classrooms and prime performance and athletic facilities. Located just 50 minutes southwest of Atlanta, the campus is minutes from West Point Lake, a major recreational area.

UNIQUE/SPECIAL PROGRAMS
Learning at LaGrange isn’t confined to the classroom…or even the campus! The education you can expect is both dynamic and demanding — but not without rich rewards. Your academic program consists of courses in your major, courses in other areas of interest (electives) and courses in our General Education Core. As you complete courses in a variety of disciplines, you’ll soon appreciate that knowledge — like life — isn’t divided into academic departments. You’ll also develop skills in communication, problem solving, research and teamwork — qualities that graduate schools and employers seek.

Our 4-1-4 calendar system provides a twist on the semester-based system you probably experienced in high school. At LaGrange, two four-month semesters are divided by a one-month January Interim Term (or Jan Term, as we often call it). Not only does Interim Term provide a break between semesters, but it also allows you to focus on a single subject in depth for an entire month. Use the time to study abroad, complete an internship, pursue an independent project, research a subject of interest or take an especially innovative Jan Term course.
