Single Source Partner (SSP) Information

Single Source Partners (SSP) is the signature Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) origination and disbursement service available from the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC). SSP offers a partnership between Georgia's guaranty agency, participating lenders, and postsecondary institutions. This partnership gives schools and students a simplified process and single point of contact from application processing through fund disbursement.

Some of SSP's features include:

• A single point of contact for borrower FFELP information that includes guarantee status, disbursement information, adjusting and refunding loans, student inquiries, and customer service which eliminates the need to interact with multiple lenders and servicers.
• Most loans process and guarantee in real time when using Scholarnet™, GSFC's web-enabled school-based software. Scholarnet™ is an open platform and can be used for any lender-guarantor combination.
• Allows institutions to give their students the ability to sign the PLUS and Stafford MPN online in real time via the FASTLoans™ and FASTPLUS™ products.
• Stafford and PLUS Master Promissory Note (MPN) processing options let a school tailor processing to meet its needs.
• Application processing supports the technical capabilities of all schools, whether manual or electronic.
• Disbursement options — Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), master check, or individual checks. Schools control the days of week and method of disbursement at the loan level. GSFC supports real-time loan changes and industry standard hold and release functionality.
• Refund options — SSP accommodates auto debit, auto credit, master check, and single refund checks.
